Define the mission before the aircraft
A brief can record passenger and baggage needs, typical corridors, expected usage, airport requirements, budget and timing. The principal’s aviation specialists assess whether a specific aircraft fits those requirements. Range, runway performance and payload depend on the aircraft and operating conditions; headline brochure figures are not a suitability assessment.
Fleet signals need corroboration
Published fleet changes, filings, operator announcements and lawfully supplied aircraft records can guide further research. Changes in use or maintenance plans do not by themselves prove availability. Record the source, date and uncertainty, and seek confirmation through an authorised contact before treating a lead as an opportunity.
Empty-leg matching: understand the limits
An empty leg is a repositioning flight that may be offered by an operator. Availability, timing, routing and conditions require direct confirmation with that operator and may change. A repositioning flight does not prove an aircraft is for sale. This article makes no claim of a live positioning feed, automatic flight alerts or guaranteed discounted access.
Independent aviation diligence
The principal’s aviation counsel, technical specialists and inspectors determine the checks required for a specific aircraft. Topics may include ownership and authority to sell, title and registered interests, maintenance and damage records, airworthiness requirements, engine programmes, pre-purchase inspection and operating costs. Quantus does not certify an aircraft or verify its technical suitability.
How a Quantus mandate proceeds
An operator reviews the mandate and the evidence available. An introduction requires an approved mandate, a confirmed match and an operator-verified stored contact. Contact details are released only after both sides accept the introduction. The principal and counterparty remain responsible for their decisions and for appointing independent advisers.
What Quantus does not do
Quantus provides intelligence and introductions only. It is not an aircraft or air-charter broker, does not book flights or arrange carriage, and does not negotiate or execute purchases. Inspection, legal work, payments, registration and completion remain with the parties and their appointed specialists. Quantus holds no client funds.
