Shadow Inventory, Answered.
The questions principals and vendors ask before engaging — answered without qualification. If a question is not here, the concierge line answers it directly.
For principals
- What is shadow inventory?
- Assets whose holders have decided to sell but have not decided to list. There is no marketing file, no price history and no comparable set built from public data. The asset exists, the intent exists, and the market has not yet been told.
- How is off-market sourcing different from a pocket listing?
- A pocket listing is still a file circulating between intermediaries — several desks know it exists and are looking for a buyer. Interception starts from a principal's mandate and approaches the holder directly, so the asset is matched to one buyer rather than shopped to many.
- Do you hold client funds or act as a broker?
- No. Quantus Pulse provides intelligence and introductions. It holds no client money or assets, does not arrange or execute transactions, and gives no investment, legal or tax advice. Completion happens between the parties and their own legal counsel, with any escrow arranged by that counsel.
- What does it cost, and are prices published?
- Every tier publishes its floor on the pricing page — Sovereign Access and Sovereign Pro are self-serve, Vanguard and Obsidian are application-only but still show their price. Transaction work carries a single transparent success fee rather than stacked commissions.
- How is my identity protected during an interception?
- Counterparties see a mandate, not a name. Principal identity is masked end to end, and Obsidian Mode masks client and vendor identities across the interface in one tap. Vault documents are encrypted client-side before they reach storage.
- How fast can a transaction close?
- Pace is set by the parties and their advisers. Quantus shortens the search: each signal arrives with its public evidence, and an introduction can be made as soon as both sides accept. Diligence, negotiation and completion then run through each side's own counsel.
- Which asset classes are covered?
- Real estate, aviation, marine, art and antiquities, hard assets, jurisdictional strategy, longevity, security, sovereign finance, jewellery and gemstones, automotive, natural resources and space — each run as its own intelligence silo rather than a single generic pipeline.
- When is Quantus Pulse the wrong choice?
- When the objective is maximum price discovery on a liquid, conventionally financed asset. A listing service or a broker will be faster and cheaper. Below the threshold where privacy, thin liquidity or settlement speed decides the outcome, we decline the mandate.
For vendors
- Who can submit an asset?
- Verified entities with written authority from the legal holder — holders themselves, operators, estates and appointed representatives. Introducers without a mandate are declined at verification.
- Why is a contract and deposit required before outreach?
- It filters speculative submissions and protects principals from files that were never really available. The deposit is credited against commission on completion; it is not a fee for access.
- Is my asset published anywhere?
- No. Nothing is broadcast, indexed publicly, or circulated between desks. A matched asset is released to a single principal at a time under masked identity.
- How is commission handled?
- One transparent percentage of the completed transaction, payable only after the transaction completes between the parties. Where a chain of intermediaries exists it is disclosed and shares the same commission rather than adding a layer to it.
